Michael Calvey

Michael Calvey was a founder of Baring Vostok and Baring Ventures and has been a co-Senior Partner of the firm since its inception in 1994. He was the Chairman of the firm’s investment committee for more than 25 years and served on the boards of directors of several portfolio companies.

 

Prior to Baring Ventures, Mr Calvey worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London and at Salomon Brothers Inc in New York, principally on oil & gas investments and capital markets transactions.

He has a Masters degree in Finance from London School of Economics and a degree in business from Oklahoma University.
